Darkelectric with violet wands

This gent with the two violetwands in his hands and another one vise-clamped to the table is Darkelectric.  Highly inventive, he's spawned more than a few ideas for new violet wand product and techniques and has been plying their art for many years.

His violet wand and electrical play is often seen throughout the mid-Atlantic under Darkelectric Productions.  Do not miss him if you get the chance to see him, as you will see things that few have imagined doing.  Just find the line of people who keep him far too busy to talk much.  He's also the President of the International Violet Wand Guild.

I would have to say that the East-Coasters are often more inventive and seem to come up with new ways of handling and using violet wands than the West Coast,  though that might be largely due to just this one man more so than general violet wand usage throughout the region.  Hm, does that sound like a throwdown?

Violetwanda and Dralion at Paddles in NYCThis is Violetwanda and Dralion.  They are a source manufacturing company.  However, they only sell direct to the public and do not wholesale.  (Making a complementary fit with Huse' wholesale-only operation, as the 'Big Two'.)

They have been in business since 1998, and are the only manufacturer of internal violetwand electrodes. From time to time they put out several new designs or some limited edition electrodes.

They used to be pretty active in the Scene, but have retired from making appearances.  Their demonstrations though, were something to see.  I once saw them do a violet wand fishhook suspension.

If you have done business with their company within the past year, please take the time to submit a business review HERE.    My previous review data is more than 2 years old.

Rupter Huse violet wands

This is Rupert Huse, of Springfield Oregon.  Rupert manufactures and sells all kinds of S&M equipment and furniture.  He wholesale his items and  violet wand kits, so if you get your violet wand from Mr. S. Leather or J.T's STockroom or any other major retailer such as those, it will be a Huse kit.

He's been manufacturing S&M gear since 1998 and makes an ocasional appearance at Kinkfest in Oregon.

If you have done business with Huse, please take the time to submit a business review HERE.    My old review data is more than 2 years old, and one has to keep up with the times.

Uncle Abdul demonstrating a violet wand

As promised, more about some of the prominent violet wand people and players.

At left is Uncle Abdul, author of "Juice, Electricity for Pleasure and Pain" by Greenery Press, 1998.

Unc', as he is familiarly called, is one of the nicest people you'll meet.  His demos are punctuated by his sense of humor.   Undoubtedly, he was one of the first demonstrators to think outside the kit and talk about how you could incorporate things like mylar balloons into your play, and 10 years later you'll still find the audience giggling at his same mylar balloon.

The book contains good information on all types of electrical play, including some of the lesser used like EES or Erotic Electro-Stimulation.  We hope to see it continue in print by Greenery, but also hope Unc' will update it with some current information for future printings.

Potentially Exciting Print E-mail

There's supposedly a new line of violet wand systems in development.  The company is already advertising here on this information site, and you'll note that a click on their link returns their under construction page.  Which, interestingly, is at a url that is part of the violetwands.net domain.  First, a little background here about why I mention this of interest:  in late 2008,

On Being Nice and Normal Print E-mail

From the least interesting mail I got today:

"That's not what its called. I know because I invented it in 1997. "

There's always one.  Or in our demographic, three.  Where do they come from?

From the most interesting mail I received today:

"...with the photos of people to avoid.  I wish you'd put names with the faces though.  Do you have other photos of important players in the wand world?"

Yes I do. I like going to events and mingling, and meeting the important people.  Here are some more.
