How To Make a Violet Wand DIY

Can you make a violet wand? Obviously someone does, so theoretically you could too.

First you’d decide if you want to make an electromagnetic violet wand or an electronic.  If you can solder a circuit board, you should be able to do an electronic (solid state).  If you can get access to a hand crank coil winder, you should be able to do an electromagnetic (Tesla).

Inside a violet wand, working from your electrical input to the discharge first you need the easiest part- the electrical cord.  Then you have an on/off and or means of adjustment. In electronic violet wands this will be a potentiometer and in Tesla types it is mechanical adjustment with wagner’s hammer.

Your first major component will either be the circuit board (electronic) or electromagnetic coil (Tesla) to generate the voltage from the input current.  In electronic violet wands, the circuit boards also house the capacitor.  In electromagnetic violet wands the capacitor is separate, but your 2nd major component will be the capacitor.  The capacitor stores up the charge until it builds before releasing it.

The third major component is the same in both wand types, and that’s the Resonant Transformer. This is an electric coil that has two separate windings. Each winding has a capacitance across it and they function together as a tuned circuit, storing oscillating electrical energy and transforming it before releasing it.  You’ll need to make both windings, tune them, and then ‘pot’ them as a single unit with an inert substance like resin to keep the electricity within the circuit.

Once you have all these parts, you would need a means to connect and house them; a skeleton and exterior container.  Then after they are assembled, grounded, tuned and tested, you would add a connection known as a collet, that allows you to attach accessories.

All the parts in a violet wand work together to transform dangerous household 110v (or 230v) electricity into something that is safe to zap yourself with.  Understand that the electricity from your wall outlet doesn’t ‘run’ a violet wand in the same way it runs your vacuum cleaner.  A violet wand takes your household electricity and changes it.  This is why its important that your violet wand be made well.

Or you could, you know, get one of these.

(This chair was on etsy. It is not an “electric chair”. It is a chair with electric capabilities, designed to be used with violet wands or TENS/EMS units etc. It went for $1650.  You may not be able to make a violet wand, but you could do this with a chair. And use your violet wand to provide the power. And if you put leather over top the conductive plates, your prisoner could NOT escape the sparks of a violet wand.)

These are the last of the quack-medical violet wands, the Bleadon-Dun Model Ten “Violetta.

you can use a marine deep cycle battery but they are very heavy. Just make sure your portable power doesn’t have any electronic components since they could be fried

Believe me I am perfectly happy to let someone else make it. But I really want to know if there is a battery operated or portable violet wand. It doesn’t seem like anyone makes one and Im sure its got to be possible. Ill just keep looking. Or hoping.

Seriously speaking though, IF someone were wanting to make their own violet wand, you should make a full scale instructable for that.

Its a shame they aren’t easier to make. I half suspect that the manufacturers don’t want to let you know if its possible to make a DIY violet wand. So many people are handy with tools. At least we can make our own violet wand toys.

I need that chair! YOu ever notice how you don’t know you NEED things until you see them, then you don’t know how you live without it. I NEED THAT CHAIR!. Could you do this with ANY chair? Or does it have to be a special type?
