10 Tips to Help You Get Started with Your Violet Wand

Test your knob first and turn the knob down before plugging it in.  This will keep you from starting off hot.

Insert electrodes without twisting or forcing.  Push them in gently just till they hold.

Don’t leave your wand plugged in when not running.

Start slow.  You can always turn it up as you go.

For someone new who wants to see what it feels like, turn it way down and let them reach their preferred body part toward the electrode.

Don’t neglect the sensual uses of a violet wand to evoke those tingles and chills.

Electricity will always go somewhere.  You manage where you want it to go and what path it takes to get there.

Indirect and Reverse make up about 75% of your repertoire and they are where you can get really creative.

Violet Wands tend to ‘walk’ if left alone at events.  Mark it somehow and keep an eye on it.

If your kit doesn’t come with one, stick a compact fluorescent lightbulb in it.  When you’re digging in your kit in a darkened room, zap the lightbulb with your wand to provide some nice light to make things easier to see.

Just want to say thank you for the super helpful guide. A lot of us don’t get the chance to watch demonstrations and need to know how to begin. Step by step is how all guides should be!

I appreciate this article and all the other ones.  a wand can be a little scary the first time you use it but this guide was super helpful and so is the whole website.
