Internal Electrodes

By now, if you’ve done any reading about violet wands, you’ve heard about internal electrodes or violet wand dildos.  They can sound scary of course, and believe it or not, there are still people, even very knowledgeable violet wand presenters, who will react in shock at the thought of a violet wand internal electrode.    If that happens, you know you’re listening to an old, out of date presentation, because internal violet wand electrodes have been around now, and accepted, and safe, since the early 2000s.

Here’s everything you need to know about them.  And more that you don’t need to know, but might be useful.

violet wand dildoFor the longest time, violet wand players only had one choice of violet wand internal, a phallic shaped ‘Violet Wand Dom™” also known as the Violet Wand Dildo. This was introduced by the only violet wand manufacturing company in North America who makes/blows their own glass electrodes, and it was the only one we had available for years.

Keep in mind there is only one manufacturer making or selling violet wand internal electrodes in North America, specifically for the kink market.

This internal electrode shown, is a made of incredibly strong glass (medical grade non-UV quartz) — so if your first thought is ‘Im not sticking glass up me‘, then you want to think about the glass dildoes on the market, one of which is shown below:

Violet Wand Dildo

You know what these are all about!  Cold, delicious hard glass.  The glass dildoes you buy (and use today) are made out of borosilicate glass (known commonly as Pyrex.)

They are most often made in China and imported, but you can find American glass blowers producing these lovely items.  They are very, very popular.

Again, these popular glass dildos are made out of pyrex, a strong grade of glass.

<— The violet wand glass dildoes are made out of glass that is even stronger; they use a medical grade quartz glass, a high-tech glass that is many grades stronger than the Pyrex used for glass dildos.  So, if you’re happy with your glass dildo, you can feel very comfortable knowing that these are even stronger glass.  Feel safe and play with confidence.

Cold, hard and delicious.   Imagine your victim squirming as you bring it near.  Warm it up or chill it in the fridge, or freezer if you’re nasty.   Imagine the gasping, the clenching of muscles.  They came in several colors (red, pink, blue, purple) and even some two-tones!  The glass on the two-tones glowed in a bright electric blue, and the gas inside glowed red or purple.  They also came in two strengths, the regular version and one with a tungsten filament inside it, to boost the output.

About the output:  The internal electrodes are not as strong as the externals generally, though the tungsten versions are.  The thicker, higher grade glass contributes to that.

SIMPLE, WONDERFUL TRUTH: You do get a warm ‘vibrating’ type feeling if you use them by themselves.  But, put a condom or two over them (the nice clear ones keep that beautiful visual) and they spark — internally — just like they do when used externally.  YES, you get the spark when used internally.  Go to town!

violet wand internal anal electrode

Fast forward to today, and the company is now making several other violet wand internal electrodes, including the analplug shown at left, and a deep penetrating one to reach a prostate, a slim sound, and a G-spot violet wand dildo electrode.   What a wonderful time we live in!

How They are Made:   The violet wand internal electrodes are made with a combination of mouth pipe blowing (what you see at Ren Faires) and torch work.  First the raw special grade glass is melted in a furnace.  Then the glass blower gathers up a glob of molten glass and, with a craft and art that takes years to learn, fashions the distinctive ends and shapes by blowing and turning the blowpipe.  When that is finished, it is taken to the bench where, with a torch, the shaped heads are fused to tubing made of the same glass.

The electrodes are heated to nearly red-hot in a kiln, then placed in a tempering chamber where they are given a very slow and controlled cool-down, by just a few degrees an hour.  This cooling down ‘tempers’ the glass, making it very strong, and lasts two days.   The electrodes are then evacuated at a vacuum manifold, and when they reach the right vacuum, they are backfilled with combinations of argon or neon gas at certain vacuum levels, giving them their glow colors.  Then they are sealed with more torch work.  Finally, once cool and tested, their metal end caps can be assembled.  Start to finish, the electrodes take several weeks.  And only serious glass artisans can do it, which is why only one company in all of North America can make them to this spec.

Have fun: Now that the reactionary myths are dying and we can show the myths to be the product of fear, or the un-informed and un-knowledgeable  (not safe!  you dont feel them!  only good for mindfux! )  we can move on to knowing how to use them.

How to use violet wand internal electrodes:

NEVER twist them when taking them out or putting them into your violet wand.  That loosens the end caps.  Put them in and take them out, straight.  Turn off your wand to put in, take out electrodes.

Scald them by dipping them in boiling water by holding the stem end.  Or use bleach or other disinfectant.  With their quartz composition, they won’t get scratches.

Turn your wand down when using them, and test output on yourself first.  Turn up the output as desired.

Use without a condom first till your partner becomes accustomed to the feel.  Spark on outside flesh to warm up.  Make everything external tingle from sparks.

Use two condoms or more (poly ones have the best visuals, nice and clear) to get the desired spark.  More condoms make more gap =  stronger spark.

A good (water-based!) lube will help if the condom buffer needs it.  The electrical sparking tends to make mucous membranes a bit dryer.

Go slow to start.  Keep the electrode moving, even if you are moving it very slowly in and out.   Keep an eye out for lube needs.  Guage partner reactions, and how it is feeling.  They should not be feeling pain, but a spreading warmth and incredible internal tingle.

If you can locate G-spot or prostate, you will drive your partner almost insane.  The direct electrical stimulation is truly out of this world, and orgasms are often reported.

I would never use them internally.

Can you say squirt? It doesn’t matter who I use this on they orgasm and squirting is pretty common even among people who say they have NEVER done that.  I put a plastic bag on the wand and punch a hole through for the electrode just to protect my wands now!

Warm them up slow. At first they may not feel anything after insertion if you are not using condoms.  Condoms make sparks, I like to use one condom and keep the sparks light.  The real payoff is in the way the electricity excites the nerves. Keep it moving, you can go nice and slow that seems to be just fine, you don’t need heavy thrusting because the electricity is doing the work.  Everyone seems to feel a warmth, and then a tingling that builds up and up and KABOOM.

I came here to post because I can’t find a place to comment on the vendors website but everyone should know how these work.

I HAD NO IDEA you could use them internally!
