Dr. Clockwork

Web designer by trade, event vendor category with online support.

This event vendor began selling violet wands in September 2008, but quickly emerged through vending at larger events.  Consumers note he has the most attractive website of any violet wand business entity.

This company has the highest markup/prices in his category.  Most of the comments received from customers were regarding his sales tactics or smearing of other vendors to make a sale.   Travels across the country and Canada to vend and give demonstrations.  Per this vendor, his travel and event costs contribute to his higher product markup.

Custom art box packaging and an expensive maker carrying case which is used for every Clockwork violet wand kit, plus fluff details like printing on his products may also contribute to much higher markup for this vendor.   Ex: carries a budget import chinese electrode set, priced at 1000% above cost.

The owner of this company, Michael Goldsmith, was an officer in the Violet Wand Guild for several years until he was removed from office and the organization, and has had some other undefined troubles and complaints at some physical fetish events in relation to questionable sales tactics and dissension among organization members.   Is no longer welcome to vend at many East Coast -midwest events so has been having to travel farther for sales, such as Alaska and Canada.

Consumers rated him fair to low quality on his peripheral gear.  Sells stock generators, so quality of generators is comparable to other vendors in his category.  However, his import electrodes are questionable: Mr Goldsmith indicates that he expects 1 in 4 of his electrodes to fail, but does accept returns.  Is a dues-paying member of the New Jersey Better Business Bureau, so any complaints can be sent their way.

Best bets:  Purchase of  a Wand only without the kit markup or electrodes

Avoid:  electrodes

Avoid:  Rushing or being pressured into buying. Walk away and give yourself time to think about it, do some research, and find a better price. Probably wise to believe half of what he says of his products, and none of what he says about anyone else’s.

I had no problems with this seller. Is a little more expensive for the same things but gives decent customer support.

I will never buy anything again from this jerk after my experience. Be warned.
