Its a small small world

A member of the Violet Wand Guild was asking about my connections to various other wand resources and entities and I mentioned it was indeed a small wand world that we operate in, and pretty much everyone knows, or knows of, everyone else..from the old timers at the forefront who have paid their dues, to the new kids on the block.  And when I was working up a post for today I realized that when playing with wands, we often deal with large areas, moving the mushroom over an arm, breast, belly or buttocks.

But what about the details, the smaller world of wand fetishivity?  There are ways to get down to the smallest areas of sensation.

Most often we see such small-area concentration in violet wand branding.  VW branding is not an exact science, its much more an art and dependent upon many variables for its success.  But one of the key elements is getting the wand charge concentrated enough to burn..whether that burn is light to create a temporary brand, or heavy enough to create a permanent one.  This is the effect behind the old violet ray cautery electrode which was used to burn off warts.  We don’t want that; what we want to do is increase the effect, but not have the same consequences.

We can do the same, but there are tricks we can use to get the wand charge concentrated enough to target small pinpoint areas, and unlike violet wand branding, PLUS keep it from burning.

One popular tool for creating this effect is a neurological pinwheel.  This is why they are so often included in kits.  The pinwheels have a very tiny pinpoint where the wheel approaches the skin so there is your concentrated arc.  It also has the effect of dissipating much of the charge into the air from its points that are not in use as you roll it, which limits the charge you’re working with, minimizing burns.  This makes it very handy for getting a pinpoint effect, and actually blowing off much of the wand charge out the other rays of the wheel.  If you crank the wand up in the dark and use a pinwheel, you can see this happening as a corona of rays stream off the pinwheel spikes.

What other ways can you pinpoint just a small, concentrated area?
