More Two Tone-itis

violetwand electrode 2 tone Violetwanda:    "We developed these while working toward two-tone electrodes, but these were a different process.   We used Krypton, Xenon and Argon, plus a special mix of glass that we contracted to our specs.  We evacuated to a very high negative pressure and bombarded at 900 mA.  (we could do the higher bombardment because of our special glass).  The backfill of the gases was at as low a pressure we could get.  Unexpectedly, when activated by the violet wand, the combination of our glass mix, gas mix, and manufacturing showed something surprising–the argon, being slightly heavier than the other gases, separated out under the higher pressure and current and tended to collect at the business end.

violet wands electrodeThe tube shown at left was the same process except we used neon instead of argon.  The neon, being heavier than the Krypton and Xenon, also separated out when activated, and collected at the business end.  Since this electrode had a tungsten filament inside it at the stem end, the neon also collected there where the current was strongest.  The two gases didn’t make a solid demarkation, but as the electrode was used, the purple or orange would swirl and follow the contact with skin, just like a plasma ball.

No, we’re not going to make any  more of these either.  Krypton and Xenon are too expensive to warrant it, and the process used to make them was too intensive.  They were mostly curiosities available for a short time to members of the Violet Wand Guild.  Didn’t you get one?

I don’t know why you’re surprised that people would say these don’t exist or that we don’t make our own electrodes.  I have had some ‘all knowing, all omnipotent’ dominants tell me to my face that I don’t have these, don’t make these, and that no internal use electrodes exist.  They would tell an audience, even knowing Im in the room, that I don’t make -any- of my stuff.  Do you see that type of thing in flogging if you’re a leatherworker?  Or if you make paddles?  Its always been like that with violet wands though.  I just smile and go back to being the expert, –making things I ‘don’t make’ and working with techniques that ‘don’t exist’."

I sent her the link to the ‘expert’ museum that describes how one person speculates electrodes are made.

She emails back:  "Well, if he says that, it must be so, right?"
